Capture the Color Photos
I don’t normally take part in blogger competitions but I saw this one and it really caught my eye. Mainly because it gave me an excuse to go through and look at photos from my trips. TravelSupermarket has put together the Capture the Colour contest, which asks travel bloggers to pick out their best photo which shows off one of five colors: blue, red, yellow, green, and/or white. Photos of Arlington National Cemetery
Arlington National Cemetery is located just outside of DC. It is the final resting place of many of America’s soldiers and is considered the nations most hallowed ground. The cemetery is so beautiful you find yourself forgetting just how many people are burried there.

Tulip Bulbs for sale in Amsterdam Did you know that in the 1600′s Amsterdam was at the height of Tulip Mania? Apparently the tulip bulb of 1637 was the beanie baby of 1995, with Tulip prices climbing to astronomical heights before suddenly dropping. I’m not making this up. Apparently some tulips could fetch a price up to ten times the annual salary of a tradesman. In fact, check out this tulip price index from the 1600s.
