To jump from their safe vantage point into the unknown. This phenomenon is so common in fact, that the french have a term for it: L’appel du Vide – Call of the Void.

Capture the Color Photos
I don’t normally take part in blogger competitions but I saw this one and it really caught my eye. Mainly because it gave me an excuse to go through and look at photos from my trips. TravelSupermarket has put together the Capture the Colour contest, which asks travel bloggers to pick out their best photo which shows off one of five colors: blue, red, yellow, green, and/or white. Tulip Bulbs for sale in Amsterdam Did you know that in the 1600′s Amsterdam was at the height of Tulip Mania? Apparently the tulip bulb of 1637 was the beanie baby of 1995, with Tulip prices climbing to astronomical heights before suddenly dropping. I’m not making this up. Apparently some tulips could fetch a price up to ten times the annual salary of a tradesman. In fact, check out this tulip price index from the 1600s.
